Investment in Marketable Equity Securities	Investment in Marketable Equity Securities Marketable equity securities are classified as available for sale and are valued at fair value which is the market price. Realized gains and losses on the sale of securities are recognized on a specific identification basis. Unrealized gains and losses are included as a component of accumulated other comprehensive income (loss), unless an other than temporary impairment in value has occurred, which would then be charged to current period net income (loss).

Disclosure of accounting policy for investments in debt and equity securities that have readily determinable fair values (marketable securities). At a minimum, the disclosure might address accounting policies for investments classified as trading, available for sale, or held to maturity and may include how the entity determines whether impairments of available for sale or held to maturity investments are other than temporary, how the fair values of the entity's securities are determined, and the entity's accounting treatment for transfers between investment categories.
