Income taxes The effective tax rate of the Company was 11.8% and 11.2% for the three and six months ended June 30, 2019 compared to 12.0% and 11.8% for the three and six months ended June 30, 2018. The three and six months ended June 30, 2019 include before tax investment tax credits and other credits of $390 and $778 compared to before tax investment tax credits $273 and $543 for those same periods last year.
