In April 2014, the FASB issued Accounting Standards Update No. 2014-08, Presentation of Financial Statements (Topic 205) and Property, Plant, and Equipment (Topic 360): Reporting Discontinued Operations and Disclosures of Disposals of Components of an Entity (FASB ASU 2014-08). The amendment revises the definition of a discontinued operation to a disposal, sale or held-for-sale component or group of components that represents a strategic shift that will have a major effect on an entity's operations and financial results. The amendments in this ASU are effective for reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2014 with early adoption permitted in the first quarter of 2014 for calendar year-end companies. We have chosen to early adopt this pronouncement and it became effective for the Company in the first quarter of 2014. The adoption of the provisions of FASB ASU 2014-08 did not have a material impact on the Company’s consolidated financial statements.

In February 2013, the FASB issued Accounting Standards Update No. 2013-02, Comprehensive Income (Topic 220): Reporting of Amounts Reclassified Out of Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income  (FASB ASU 2013-02). The amendment in this update requires an entity to report the effect of significant reclassifications out of accumulated other comprehensive income on the respective line items in net income if the amount being reclassified is required under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles to be reclassified in its entirety to net income. The provisions of FASB ASU 2013-02 were effective for annual and interim periods beginning after December 15, 2012.  The adoption of the provisions of FASB ASU 2013-02 did not have a material impact on the Company’s consolidated financial statements.

In December 2011, the FASB issued Accounting Standards Update No. 2011-11, Balance Sheet (Topic 210): Disclosures about Offsetting Assets and Liabilities (FASB ASU 2011-11).  The amendments in this update will require an entity to disclose information about offsetting and related arrangements to enable users of its financial statements to understand the effect of those arrangements on its financial position.  The intention is to enhance required disclosures by improving information about financial instruments and derivative instruments that are either offset in accordance with FASB guidance or are subject to an enforceable master netting arrangement, irrespective of whether they are offset in accordance with FASB guidance.  The provisions of FASB ASU 2011-11 were effective for annual and interim reporting periods beginning on or after January 1, 2013.  The adoption of the provisions of FASB ASU 2011-11 did not have a material impact on the Company’s consolidated financial statements.
