LEASES AND OTHER COMMITMENTS

The Company leases certain facilities and machinery and equipment under long-term, non-cancelable operating leases. Future minimum rental commitments under non-cancelable operating leases with an initial lease term in excess of one year at September 28, 2018 were as follows:

Rental expense under all leases was approximately $8,316, $7,969 and $7,011 for 2018, 2017 and 2016, respectively.  Rent expense to related parties was $992, $949 and $907 for 2018, 2017 and 2016, respectively.
