Income taxes	For each interim period, Lifeway estimates the effective tax rate (“ETR”) expected to be applicable for the full year and applies that rate to income before provision for income taxes for the period. Additionally, we record discrete income tax items such as enacted tax rate changes and completed tax audits in the period in which they occur. The effective tax rate for the three months ended March 31, 2018 was 35.1% compared to 39.2% for the three months ended March 31, 2017.

Disclosures may include net deferred tax liability or asset recognized in an enterprise's statement of financial position, net change during the year in the total valuation allowance, approximate tax effect of each type of temporary difference and carryforward that gives rise to a significant portion of deferred tax liabilities and deferred tax assets, utilization of a tax carryback, and tax uncertainties information.
