14) Lease Commitments

The Partnership has entered into certain operating leases for office space, trucks and other equipment. The future minimum rental commitments at September 30, 2015 under operating leases having an initial or remaining non-cancelable term of one year or more are as follows (in thousands):

Rent expense for the fiscal years ended September 30, 2015, 2014, and 2013, was $18.4 million, $15.9 million, and $14.7 million, respectively.
