CEO Ville Tolvanen has resigned from the CEO position to join the Board of Directors of Digitalist Group Plc (Digitalist Group or The Company) and to move on to a new position, where his strong knowledge in promoting digitalisation can be better leveraged. The new position allows Ville Tolvanen to focus more directly on our future-directed business development in a very fast-changing environment. To enable this, Ville Tolvanen will be giving up his position as CEO as of 15 March 2019.
The Company’s majority shareholder, Oy Tremoko Ab, has informed the Board of Directors of the Company that they will propose to the Annual General Meeting held in spring 2019, inter alia, that Ville Tolvanen will be appointed as member of the Company’s Board of Directors. As a member of the Board of Directors, Ville Tolvanen’s strategic lead responsibilities would be the promotion of digitalisation, growth strategies, partnerships, M&A and management consulting.
The Company’s current CFO Hans Parvikoski will be taking over the role of CEO on an interim basis as of 15 March 2019, in addition to his duties as CFO. The Board will start the search for a new CEO during spring 2019. To strengthen the operational leadership in the Group, the Board of Directors of the Company has, on the same occasion, decided to appoint Board member Peter Eriksson as interim Chief Operating Officer and member of the Company’s management group.
Peter Eriksson has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since spring 2017 and, in addition to his board work, has participated actively in the Company’s operative development and the management and integration of M&A projects.
