(14)  Segment Information

 

The Company operates in one reportable business segment. The Company conducts its business through subsidiaries in the United States, a subsidiary in Israel that operates a research and production facility and sales and service offices, a subsidiary in Switzerland that operates a research and production facility, subsidiaries in France and Brazil that operate production facilities and sales and service offices, and other subsidiaries that operate sales and service offices in Europe (Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and the Netherlands), Israel and in the Asia Pacific region (Australia, China, India, Japan and Korea). The Company has historically disclosed summarized financial information for the geographic areas of operations as if they were segments in accordance with ASC 280, “Segment Reporting.” Financial information concerning the Company’s geographical locations is based on the location of the selling entity.
