FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS The Company’s financial instruments include cash and cash equivalents, trade receivables, note receivables, minority investments, trade payables, accrued liabilities, lease liabilities, note payables and debt. The carrying value of cash and cash equivalents, trade receivables, notes receivable, trade payables, and accrued liabilities approximate their fair values due to the short-term maturity of these financial instruments. The carrying value of lease liabilities, notes payable, and debt approximate their fair values due to insignificant changes in credit risk. For its minority investments, the Company has elected the practicability election to fair value measurement, under which the investment is measured at cost, less impairment, plus or minus observable price changes of an identical or similar investment.
