Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On March 16, 2023, the Board of Directors of Clearwater Paper Corporation (the “Company”) announced the departure of Michael J. Murphy, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Murphy’s departure is expected at the end of the second quarter of 2023. He will continue to serve as the Chief Financial Officer and assist the Company in the transition to a new Chief Financial Officer through the end of the second quarter.
