(6) GOODWILL AND OTHER INTANGIBLE ASSETS

The carrying amount of goodwill totaled $66,152 at September 30, 2025, and no impairments were recognized during the three and nine month periods then ended. 

Intangible assets consisted of the following (in thousands):
