Plambeck Neue Energien AG: Further improvement of the profit on ordinary
activities
Cuxhaven, 23rd March 2001 – During the business year 2000 Plambeck Neue Energien
AG achieved the best profit on ordinary activities since its foundation.
According to the final figures a group profit of 7.9 Mio Euro before tax was
achieved. This corresponds to an improvement of 138 % compared to the business
year 1999 (profit on ordinary activities: 3.3 million Euro). Thus, the company,
which is specialised in the use of renewable energies, clearly confirmed its own
forecast. The total performance amounted to 97.3 Mio. Euro in 2000 (1999: 56.6
Mio. Euro) – this is an increase of 71.7 %.
This performance is mainly based on the wind energy business developing as
scheduled as well as on the first positive results which were achieved in the
business division biomass. These business divisions will grow continuously in
the year 2001. This year the company is furthermore expecting good profits from
shareholdings acquired in 2000 in the solar energy business. The Supervisory
Board of Plambeck Neue Energien AG adopted the figures confirmed by the
Certified Public Account. Plambeck Neue Energien AG will publish its Annual
Report 2000 on 29th March 2001.
