Plambeck Neue Energien AG: quarterly figures improve
Cuxhaven, 13th May 2002 – Plambeck Neue Energien AG recorded a total operating
performance of 34,0 million Euro (last year: 33.6 million Euro) for the 1st
quarter of 2002 and thus continued its positive development. This was also true
of the pre-tax results which rose in the first quarter to 2,4 million Euro (last
year: 1.8 million Euro). The company’s positive trend is also reflected in the
balance sheet item Receivables from long-term contracts in which the current
projects are to be found: the progress in the realisation of windpark and
biomass projects increased this figure from 97.8 million Euro in the first
quarter of 2001 to its current figure of 164.7 million Euro.
As in the past, the figures in the first quarter do not permit any linear
projection for the further development in the course of the year. For 2002 the
board affirms expectation that total sales and result will further strongly
grow.
The first quarter of 2002 saw the completion of seven windpark projects, some of
which had already been started last year. Plambeck Neue Energien AG currently
has orders in hand for the construction of 16 windpark projects and a biomass
project in the implementation phase. Moreover, the company has numerous further
projects at an advanced planning stage which will progress to the realisation
phase in the near future.
