PNE WIND AG sets the groundwork for the Waldfeucht repowering wind farm

Cuxhaven, December 22, 2014 – In the next year, PNE WIND AG will realise a repowering project in the “Waldfeucht/Selfkant” wind farm near Heinsberg (North Rhine-Westphalia). Four wind power turbines with a total nominal output of 12 MW will be erected there.

For one of these wind power turbines, a purchase contract has been concluded recently with a project company of the Frauenrath group of companies. Frauenrath is a versatile full-service provider with tradition in the construction industry. Frauenrath has been a family-run business for 140 years and offers a large range of construction and other services as a medium-sized group of companies. For more than 15 years it has been involved in the development and operation of wind power turbines.

The three other turbines of the new wind farm will be transferred to the Yieldco, which was established by PNE WIND AG for the purpose of bundling fully erected and commissioned wind farms.

The new Vestas V112 turbines will be erected in 2015. In the repowering project, the modern systems will replace a wind farm, which was commissioned by PNE WIMND AG in 1999.
