Inventories consist of the following:

Inventories stated on the LIFO basis amounted to $6.7 million at December 31, 2024 and $7.2 million at December 31, 2023, which were below replacement costs by $13.8 million at December 31, 2024 and $13.2 million at December 31, 2023. Inventories stated on the weighted average cost basis were $14.3 million and $12.9 million at December 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively, while inventories stated on the FIFO method amounted to $30.4 million and $29.6 million at December 31, 2024 and 2023, respective
