16.   Segment Reporting, Geographic Information, and Significant Customers

Segment Information

The Company develops, licenses, and supports a wide range of software and IP that more fully engage users’ sense of touch when operating digital devices. The Company focuses on the following target application areas: mobile devices, wearables, consumer, mobile entertainment and other content; console gaming; automotive; medical; and commercial. The Company manages these application areas in one operating and reporting segment with one set of management, development, and administrative personnel.

The Company’s chief operating decision maker (“CODM”) is the Chief Executive Officer. The CODM allocates resources to and assesses the performance of the Company using information about its revenue and operating loss. There is only one segment that is reported to management.

The majority of the Company’s long-lived assets are located in the United States of America. Long-lived assets include net property and equipment, intangibles, long-term investments, and other assets. Long-lived assets that were outside the United States of America constituted less than 10% of the total on December 31, 2014, December 31, 2013, and December 31, 2012.
