Inventory consists of the following (in thousands):

As of June 30, 2022, total inventory included $37.4 million related to ZYNRELEF, $21.4 million related to CINVANTI, and $2.5 million related to SUSTOL. As of December 31, 2021, total inventory included $23.6 million related to ZYNRELEF, $23.1 million related to CINVANTI, and $1.7 million related to SUSTOL. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2022, cost of product sales included charges of $2.5 million resulting primarily from the write-off of short-dated ZYNRELEF inventory. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2021, cost of product sales included charges of $3.1 million resulting from the write-off of short-dated SUSTOL inventory.
