Other Investments	Note 7. Other Investments As of December 31, 2012, we maintain minority investments in two privately-held companies accounted for under the cost method as we do not have the ability to exercise significant influence over their operations. Our investments in these privately-held companies are reviewed for other than temporary declines in value on a quarterly basis. We monitor our investments for impairment and record reductions in carrying value when events or changes in circumstances indicate that the carrying value may not be recoverable. Reasons for other than temporary declines in value include whether the related company would have insufficient cash flow to operate for the next twelve months, significant changes in the operating performance and changes in market conditions. As of December 31, 2012 and 2011, our investments in these two unconsolidated privately-held companies had a carrying value of $392,000 and are included in "other assets" in the consolidated balance sheets.

The entire disclosure for investments accounted for under the cost-method. The carrying amount of such investments may be adjusted, for example, distributions in excess of cost (return of capital) or for other-than-temporary impairments. The cost method and lower-of-cost or market, an adaptation of the cost method, is generally followed for most investments in noncontrolled corporations, in some corporate joint ventures, and to a lesser extent in unconsolidated subsidiaries in which the entity does not have the ability to exercise significant influence.
