Pursuant to Rule 461 under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, the undersigned, the Chief Executive Officer of Rydex Specialized Products LLC, the sponsor (the “Sponsor”) of the CurrencyShares ^® Euro Trust (the “Trust”), hereby requests on behalf of the Trust that the above-referenced Registration Statement be declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”) today, March 18, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, or as soon as practicable thereafter.

We hereby acknowledge that:

• should the Commission or the staff, acting pursuant to delegated authority, declare the filing effective, it does not foreclose the Commission from taking any action with respect to the filing;
