Employee Benefit Plan	NOTE 12 – EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLAN The Company sponsors a defined-contribution savings plan under Section 401(k) of the Internal Revenue Code covering all full-time employees (Sangamo 401(k) Plan). The Sangamo 401(k) Plan is intended to qualify under Section 401 of the Internal Revenue Code.         The Company matched contributions by employees equal to 50% of the first 6% of employee contributions up to a limit of $1,500 in 2013 and $1,000 in 2012. Matching funds are fully vested when contributed. Contributions to the Sangamo 401(k) Plan were $0.1 million in both years ended December 31, 2013 and 2012. There were no such contributions in 2011.
