Earnings per Common Share [Abstract]
Earnings per Common Share
Note 10. Earnings per Common Share

Basic earnings per common share represents income available to common shareholders divided by the weighted-average number of common shares outstanding during the period. Diluted earnings per common share reflects additional common shares that would have been outstanding if dilutive potential common shares had been issued, as well as any adjustment to income that would result from the assumed issuance. There are no potential common shares that would have a dilutive effect. The average number of common shares outstanding used to calculate basic and diluted earnings per common share were 2,998,414 and 2,952,818 for the three months ended June 30, 2012 and 2011, respectively, and 2,977,032 and 2,951,002 for the six months ended June 30, 2012 and 2011, respectively.
