November first month of passenger growth since July 2008. Total passengers increased by 1.1% over the year-earlier period with just over 1.5 million passengers travelling through Copenhagen Airport in November 2009. The number of locally departing passengers rose by 4.5%, with transfer passengers down 7.2% and international traffic as a whole down marginally by 0.6%. Domestic traffic continued to grow and saw a 14.1% increase in November, mainly driven by growth on the domestic route to Aalborg. "Performance in November was on a level with that of November last year. November's passenger numbers thereby continue the stabilisation seen over the past six months," said Carsten Norland, VP, Sales, Copenhagen Airports. It should be noted that November 2008 was impacted by Sterling's suspension of flights in late October 2008. In November 2009, a total of 1,505,014 passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport.
