Oberkirch, July 1, 2013 – Progress-Werk Oberkirch AG has been awarded a further large series contract in the ‘mechanical components for electrical and electronic applications’ product area which accounts for approximately 30 percent of Group revenues.

As the world market leader in deep-drawn housings for electric motors, we produce more than 120 million such products annually for automotive applications.

Karl M. Schmidhuber, Chief Executive Officer of PWO, emphasizes: ‘In receiving this contract by one of PWO’s largest customers for a new generation of housings, not only is the existing volume for the next 8 to 10 years secured on a long-term basis but this contract also generates additional growth on a global scale in this important product area.’
