Successful partnership – PWO and Bosch enjoy a longstanding business relationship

Oberkirch, September 3, 2014 – At the Group’s headquarters in Oberkirch, the Management Board of Progress-Werk Oberkirch AG welcomed a high-level delegation from Robert Bosch GmbH, led by its Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Volkmar Denner, and its Deputy Chairman, Dr. Stefan Asenkerschbaumer.

Both companies share a longstanding partnership. PWO is a Bosch preferred supplier and has already received numerous awards. PWO supplies Bosch with a variety of highly complex metal components such as housings for electrical motors. “We have continuously improved our products through a number of innovative advances including our most recent advance for a solution in lightweight construction”, commented Dr. Volker Simon, Chief Executive Director of PWO. “In Germany, we are able to produce at internationally competitive cost levels based on the fastest production process in the world, which we have established in Oberkirch”, Simon continued.

“PWO and Bosch can look back on decades of successful business together”, said the Bosch Chairman. “We value PWO’s high innovation, international competitive and delivery capabilities, and reliability,” highlighted Dr. Denner. The PWO CEO, Simon, emphasized: “Globally operating customers such as Bosch want to work with suppliers who have a global presence. This is why we are increasingly supplying Bosch from our foreign locations. This highlights the importance of the PWO Group’s international positioning.”
