The Rockwool Group further expands in Russia.

In order to take advantage of increased activity in the Russian construction
and insulation market, the Rockwool Group has signed an agreement to take over
a stone wool factory with approximately 270 employees and an annual capacity of
30,000 tonnes. 
This factory, built in 2008, is located in Troitsk in the Ural region close to
the Kazakhstan border and is sold by the Russian company Linerock. 

The Rockwool Group already operates two modern factories in Russia located in
Moscow and in the St. Petersburg area and has a greenfield factory under
construction in the Volga region. This factory, to be equipped with a high
capacity production line, is planned to come in production in the first half of
2012. 

First signs of a market recovery in Russia are now visible after a declining
activity in 2009. The expectation is that the insulation demand in Russia will
start increasing significantly again, carried by tightened legislation in the
area of energy efficiency and fire protection in buildings. 

The Rockwool Group considers Russia to be one of its important growth markets.
Including the new acquisition and after the completion of the new greenfield
factory in the Volga region, Rockwool Russia will be well established in the
four most populated regions in Russia. Rockwool Russia will be able to fulfil
the growing market demand and to strengthen its market position on a
competitive basis. 

Including this new acquisition the Rockwool Group has 22 factories in 14
countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
