8. LEASE OBLIGATIONS, OTHER COMMITMENTS, AND CONTINGENCIES

  

We lease certain warehouse and office facilities and office equipment under non-cancelable operating leases. Rent expense from continuing operations for fiscal 2016, 2015, and 2014 was $2.0 million, $1.8 million, and $1.5 million, respectively. Our future lease commitments for minimum rentals, including common area maintenance charges and property taxes during the next five years are as follows (in thousands):
