Outstanding Half Year Figures by Amadeus
Impressive 35% organic growth of Amadeus Group
Frankfurt/Main, 22nd of October 2001. Amadeus AG continues its very positive
development during the second quarter of fiscal year 2001/2002.
The consolidated financial statements are prepared in accordance with IAS and
show at 30th of September 2001 sales revenues of KEuro 34.765 (prior year
KEuro 21.193) during the first six months, an increase of 64,0%. The group’s
organic growth was 35,1%.
The earnings before interest, income tax and amortization (EBITA) amounted to
KEuro 5.048 (prior year KEuro 2.715), an increase of 85,9 %. The EBITA margin
for the half year was 14,5 % (prior year 12,8 %). The net income after
minorities amounted to KEuro 2.439. The undiluted earnings per share including
goodwill amortization increased by 80,8 % to Euro 0,47 (prior year Euro 0,26).
Currently, projections for the coming months are very difficult due to the not
foreseeable impacts of the tragical incidents in the United States on the
national economies.
Due to the positioning of the Amadeus Group being a niche player providing high
qualified services with an emphasis on finance and accounting Amadeus’
management is confident to achieve the challenging published EBITA target of
approx. 9,5 million Euro.
