Frankfurt/Main, 11 February 2016 . In fiscal year 2015 the Amadeus FiRe group achieved consolidated sales of EUR 169.7m (prior year EUR 161.1m), an increase of 5.4%. Sales improved in all services (temporary staffing, permanent placement, interim and project management, training). In 2015 the gross profit amounted to EUR 72.8m (prior year EUR 67.8m). Therewith gross profit grew by EUR 5.0m or 7.3%. Gross profit margin increased by 0.8 percentage points from 42.1% to 42.9%. The fiscal year 2015 had two billable days more than 2014. The selling and administrative expenses were EUR 44.3m after EUR 41.1m in prior year. Mainly the increase of EUR 3.2m derived from personnel expenditures in operations. However, growth in the number of sales employees in direct customer contact in 2015 was significantly lower than planned. Furthermore, expenses for marketing activities and rent increased. The earnings before interest, tax and goodwill amortisation (EBITA) reached a new peak of EUR 28.7m. EBITA increased by EUR 1.9m (+7.1%). The EBITA margin of 16.9% exceeded previous year’s level of 16.6% by 0.3 percentage points. The management board expects a moderate growth of sales in 2016. Basis for this assumption are the current macroeconomic projections, the current order situation and a stable legal and regulatory environment. Planned cost increases from strengthening of the sales organization not carried out in the year before, improvement of the competitive position and implementation of new sales software will have an impact on the EBITA of more than EUR 3m. The implementation of these measures should lead to a decrease of EBITA between 5 and 10 per cent for fiscal year 2016. The final figures for the fiscal year 2015 will be announced during a press conference / analyst meeting on 15 March 2016.
