September 2000 – Die PSI AG wird ihre Logistik-Aktivitäten unter einem Dach zusammenführen. Hierzu werden die Tochterunternehmen ECI GmbH, Hamburg, Planar GmbH, Dortmund und der Geschäftsbereich Logistik der PSI AG zum 1. Januar 2001 in einem Unternehmen zusammengefaßt. Durch die Verschmelzung der drei Logistikbereiche entsteht ein neuer Anbieter mit 150 Mitarbeitern und einem Jahresumsatz von über 40 Millionen DM. Wesentliche Ziele der Verschmelzung zur neuen Tochter “PSI-Logistik” sind die Beschleunigung des eigenen Wachstums im boomenden Markt für Logistiklösungen sowie die Nutzung der Synergiepotentiale zwischen den drei Anbietern. ECI bringt neben einer Standardsoftware für die Steuerung und Optimierung logistischer Prozesse auch eine internationale Vertriebsstruktur in das neue Unternehmen ein. Die Kernkompetenzen der PLANAR liegen in der Integration von Anwendungen für Internet und Logistik zu ganzheitlichen eLogistics-Lösungen sowie im Bereich Flughafenlogistik. Der PSI-Logistikbereich verfügt vor allem über eine in drei Jahrzehnten gewachsene Projektkompetenz und eine hervorragende Kundenbasis. The subsidiaries ECI GmbH in Hamburg and Planar GmbH in Dortmund will be combined on January 1st,2001 with the logistics division of PSI to create a single enterprise. The merger of the three logistics specialists will result in the creation of a new provider with 150 employees and an annual turnover of more than DM 40 million. The goals of the newly formed subsidiary, “PSI-Logistics”, will be increasing market share in the rapidly expanding market for logistics solutions as well as combining the synergy and know-how of the three providers. ECI brings it’s international selling structure as well as standardized software for controlling and optimizing logistic processes to the company. In addition to providing solutions in the area of airport logistics, the core competence of PLANAR lies in their ability to integrate Internet and logistics applications into complete eLogistics solutions.
