Gaines increased strength in field of public administration services
Berlin, Leonberg, 17 August 2001 – The PSI AG, Berlin acquired 75% of the shares
of the PK Software Engineering GmbH, Leonberg and has thus increased /thus
increasing its strength in the field of public administration services and
eGovernment. PK’s core competence is the development of innovative solutions for
municipal administration customers with an emphasis on social and youth welfare
authorities. In this field PK is among the leading providers in Germany. Today,
according to the latest research, both applications in the field of eGovernment
and the progressing deregulation of public services are among the main growth
factors in the IT market.
PK software has an excellent client base of city and county administrative
services as well as computer centres all over Germany. Reference customers are
among others the municipal administrations of Essen, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Halle,
and Leipzig. For many years, PSI has been participating in many innovative
public administration projects and is highly competent in issues regarding
standardisation, planning, development, and implementation of technologically
advanced information systems
Both companies have already been coordinating their sales efforts for almost
nine month now. This cooperation has already resulted in concrete leads with
major clients.
