The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– PSI MCCM solution enhances Compaq TeMIP framework for more efficient management of next generation networks Berlin, 13 März 2002 – PSI AG announces that Compaq Computer Corporation, a global provider of both IT and telecommunications solutions, and PSI AG, a leading System Integrator of Network-, Service- and Business Management Solutions for telecommunications service providers, have signed an agreement for the joint marketing and integration of PSI’s MCCM and Compaq’s TeMIP (Telecommunications Management Information Platform). With more than 150 networks deployed at sites around the world including the top 30 service providers, TeMIP is the world’s leading multi-platform, multi-technology solution for network and services management. The integrated solution will help 3G network and service providers address three significant issues: 1) return on their investment in network infrastructure; 2) cost control through efficient network configuration process; and 3) simplified and faster OSS integration.. With this agreement, Compaq will incorporate PSI MCCM application as the preferred solution for mobile common configuration management within the TeMIP framework. TeMIP will provide the service assurance, service level monitoring of 3G networks, and an integration point for other OSS applications. Compaq will reference PSI MCCM as its recommended solution for multi-vendor configuration management of 3G networks. PSI MCCM allows service providers to get the most out of their investment in network infrastructure by a fast and efficient configuration of multi vendor, multi technology mobile access networks relying on standardized 3GPP SA5 definitions. This configuration tool ensures fast and secure configuration of large number of 2G/3G network element by its bulk data capabilities. The agreement will give customers the added benefit of having the standards based configuration management solution within Compaq’s pre-integrated network and service management program, TeMIP, thereby increasing the speed of OSS implementation, a significant issue for service providers.
