PSI Pushes Export Strategy in the Field of Energy
Complete takeover of the export business VA TECH CNI
The PSI AG, Germany’s leading provider of energy control systems, will
completely take over VA TECH CNI ( http://www.vatech-cni.com ), which was
founded in 2002 as a joint venture with the Austrian VA TECH Group for the
purpose of global sales. Following the takeover of the VA TECH Group by
Siemens, PSI is increasing its holdings in VA TECH CNI from 40 % to 100 % and
will be running the company under the name PSI CNI. PSI CNI GmbH will continue
to operate internationally and, in addition, represent the PSI gas and oil
business in the growth regions China, India and Southeast Asia.
The cooperation agreement between PSI and VA TECH will be annuled in the
course of the takeover. VA TECH CNI customers, who use VA TECH solutions will
be serviced directly by VA TECH in the future. Users of the control system
PSIcontrol will be serviced by PSI.
After three years of successful export activities within the framework of the
joint venture, PSI has attained excellent references around the world; amongst
these are the electrical supply of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, the
electrical supply for the Swedish railway and several control systems in
Slovenia. On this basis, PSI has good prospects for expanding international
activities in the field of energy.
PSI continued the export strategy also in the Production Management business
with new orders from Russia, Austria, Romania, China and Switzerland in the
third quarter.
PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own
software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil,
telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel,
chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for
government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,050
persons in the group. http://www.psi.de
