PSI Awarded First Control System Contract from Russian Electricity Provider
PSIcontrol for the Caucasus region distribution network
The PSI AG together with their Russian partner OAO Novintech has been
charged with the delivery of the PSIcontrol control system for the Caucasus
region by the regional distribution network company OAO MRSK Central- and
North Caucasus through the OOO SSK of the RAO 'UES of RUSSIA'. The new
system will consist of a central station in Nischni Novgorod and five other
operating stations. PSI, along with the partner Novintech will install the
first Russian test system on 22 December 2007.
RAO 'UES of RUSSIA' is one of the largest providers of electricity in the
world. With this contract PSI has managed to enter into the electrical
energy business sector in the growth market Russia, after successfully
entering the sectors of oil, gas, logistics and steel. Due to the large
potential of the Russian energy market this contract is especially
important for the further development of PSI.
PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its
own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil,
water, heat), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical
engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for
