PSI gains another new client in the steel sector in Brazil
Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil chooses PSImetals
PSI was commissioned by the Brazilian company Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do
Brasil Ltda. to supply PSImetals as Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
for the new steelworks in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Vallourec &
Sumitomo Tubos will use the components PSImetals Production and PSImetals
Quality for the steelworks, rolling mill and finishing process.
Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil is a joint venture between the French
Group Vallourec and Japanese Sumitomo Metal Industries. The newly
integrated plant has a total capacity of 600,000 tons of seamless tubes per
year. Vallourec is Europe's and Sumitomo is Asia's leading manufacturer of
steel tubes.
PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions, on the basis of its own
software products, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas,
oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive,
mechanical and plant engineering, mining, logistics) and infrastructure
