Net loss per share Net loss per share
The Company calculates net loss per share of Class A and Class B common stock using the two-class method. For periods in which the Company reports a net loss, all potentially dilutive shares are anti-dilutive and are therefore excluded from the calculation of diluted net loss per share. For the three months ended March 31, 2023 and 2022, the Company reported net losses and as such, basic and diluted net loss per share are the same.
As the liquidation and dividend rights are identical for Class A and Class B common stock, the undistributed earnings are allocated on a proportionate basis and the resulting amount per share for Class A and Class B common stock was the same for the three months ended March 31, 2023 and 2022.
The Company excluded the following potentially dilutive securities, presented based on amounts outstanding at each period end, from the computation of diluted net loss per share for the periods indicated because their impact would have been anti-dilutive:
