"In spite of the financial crisis and the general decline in tourism in Copenhagen - including in particular the Swedes staying away - we are satisfied with the financial statements and pleased to be able to show a profit before tax at last year's level. We have maintained a high level of investment in 2009 in spite of the signs of crisis, and we believe that we should continue our investments in developing the Gardens. In 2010 families with young children will be offered a new entertainment, Petzi's World, free of charge. We also expect great things from the opening of the Tivoli Hotel on the waterfront, which allows visitors to book a complete Tivoli holiday with overnight accommodation,” says Lars Liebst, CEO. Outlook for 2010 In light of the continued global economic uncertainties, Tivoli's attendance figures are not expected to increase in 2010, but the Company is expected to end the year with a profit at the same level as in 2009.
