Note 14. Share Transactions

 

On February 8, 2023, the Board of Directors approved the expansion of the amount authorized for repurchase under the Company’s share repurchase program from $25 million to $35 million. Since announcing this share repurchase program on January 11, 2021, the Company has repurchased an aggregate of 635,120 shares of common stock through June 30, 2023 with a total cost of approximately $25.2 million, or 71.8% of shares outstanding as of the program’s inception. The total remaining amount authorized under the expanded share repurchase program is approximately $9.8 million.

 

The following table sets forth the number of shares of common stock repurchased by the Company at an average price of $36.83 per share under its share repurchase program from February 10, 2021 through June 30, 2023:

During the nine months ended June 30, 2023, 11,740 shares were transferred into treasury. An additional 1,500 shares repurchased between June 15, 2023 and June 30, 2023 had not transferred into treasury as of June 30, 2023.
