Die QS Communications AG (“QSC AG”), Deutschlands führender alternativer Anbieter von Breitband-Infrastruktur und -anwendungen auf DSL-Basis, hat die Gründung eines Joint Ventures in Italien vereinbart. Die neuen Partner der QSC AG sind Pino Partecipazioni SpA (“Pino”), eine Tochter von Pino Venture Partners, Italiens führender Venture-Capital Gesellschaft im Technologie- u. Telekommunikations Sektor, und die von Pino beratene Beteiligungsgesellschaft Kiwi II Ventura Servicos Consultaria S.A.. Ziel dieses Joint Ventures ist es, DSL-Infrastruktur in Italien aufzubauen und DSL-Breitband-Dienste zu vermarkten. Die QSC AG ist mit 30% an der Gründung des Joint Ventures beteiligt. Elserino Piol, der Gründer von Pino Venture Partners, hat mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung als Manager und Financier im Telekommunikations- und Technologiesektor. Er bzw.von ihm beratene Beteiligungsgesellschaften waren u.a. an der Gründungsfinanzierung von Tiscali SpA (“Tiscali”) beteiligt und halten aktuell noch 5,9 % an der Gesellschaft. Tiscali ist am Neuen Markt in Mailand notiert und Europas führender alternativer Internet Service Provider. Die QSC AG festigt mit diesem Joint Venture – nach Belgien, den Niederlanden und Luxemburg – ihre Präsenz in einem weiteren europäischen Land. The venture will be founded jointly with Pino Partecipazioni SpA (“Pino”), a subsidiary of Pino Venture Partners, one of the leading venture capitalists in Italy’s technology and telecommunications sector and Kiwi II Ventura Servicos Consultaria S.A., an investment company advised by Pino. QSC will own 30% of the newly founded venture that will roll out its own DSL infrastructure and services starting next year.
