QSC revenues exceed EUR 12 million in first half of 2001
Cologne, 23 July 2001. Prior to the release of its half-yearly report, QSC AG,
the leading, alternative DSL-Provider in Germany today announced preliminary
revenues of more than EUR 7 million for the second quarter of 2001, an increase
of more than 34% over the first three months of the year (first quarter 2001:
EUR 5.3 million). After the first six months of 2001, QSC_s revenues of EUR 12.3
million already exceeded revenues for the entire year 2000 by more than 100%
(revenues 2000: EUR 5 million).
Total lines sold as at June 30, 2001 were more than 15,000. On March 31, 2001
QSC had sold a total of 10,425 lines.
After completion of its national DSL network covering more than forty key
metropolitan areas of the country QSC has stepped up its marketing activities.
Despite its investment activities and marketing spending the company has a
liquidity cushion of EUR 210 million thanks to tight cost control and
operational improvements. This translates into a liquidity per share of
approximately EUR 2.
The company has reaffirmed its targets for the year 2001 despite the noticeable
slow down in the German economy. QSC will publish its full half-yearly report on
August 28, 2001.
