<DIV align="left" style="font-size: 10pt; margin-top: 6pt">DALLAS (August&nbsp;14, 2007) &#151; Income Opportunity Realty Investors, Inc. (AMEX: IOT), a
Dallas-based real estate investment company, today reported a net loss of ($951,000) or
($0.23) per share for the three months ended June&nbsp;30, 2007, compared to net income of
$65,000 or $0.02 per share for the same period in 2006. For the six months ended June
30, 2007, IOT reported a net loss of ($885,000) or ($0.21) per share compared to net
income of $659,000 or $0.16 per share for the same period in 2006.
