Despite the accelerating global economic slowdown, the first 9 months of 2001 saw ATIONAL’s sales rise by 10%, from Euro 106.2 million to Euro 116.4 million. With a sales share of over 50% and a growth rate of +19%, our international subsidiaries are again the drivers for growth and influence the growth rate of the RATIONAL group significantly. RATIONAL’s growth strategy using its own subsidiaries for penetrating the market is particularly successful and proof against crises. An increasing gross profit, coupled with the expected rise in the rate of growth in the 4th quarter, is a reliable indicator that once again RATIONAL will achieve the targeted profit for 2001.
