With turnover of DM 32.2 million, the same level as last year, Dino entertainment AG posted an EBIT of minus DM 3.3 million in the first six months of 2001. This figure stood at minus DM 5.0 million last year. Necessary depreciation of liquid asset securities reduced earnings before taxes (EBT) from plus DM 383,000 in 2000 to minus DM 9.6 million. Dino’s earnings per share on 30 June 2001 amounted to minus DM 1.29 (minus DM 0.70 in 2000). In view of the strained atmosphere on the child and youth market and unsatisfactory financial results caused by the situation on the capital market, the board of management has corrected its forecasts for the financial year 2001. Dino now expects a negative EBIT of DM 6 million and revenues of approximately DM 65 million.
