Stuttgart, July 5, 2007 – Business Media China AG (ISIN DE0005250401, WKN
525 040), a company specialising in media, marketing and fair organisation
in China, has successfully organised the leading trade fairs PPI China
(International Fair for the Food and Drink Processing and Packaging
Industry) and FDC China (International Fair for Food and Drink) for the
fourth time. The fairs took place in Guangzhou, the centre of the Chinese
food industry, from May 29-31. During the three days, 327 exhibitors from
13 countries exhibited their products and innovations on a net exhibition
area of more than 6,000 sqm. The number of visitors rose by 70% to 9,274,
underlining the clear growth trend.
'We succeeded in gaining support of the Chinese industry associations for
the PPI & FDC China 2007. By establishing a strategic cooperation of BMC AG
with the most important associations, such as the China Food Industry
Association, the Guangdong Packaging Technology Association as well as the
Guangdong Food & Packaging Machinery Industry Association, we effectively
continued our trend to success,' explained Klaus M. Hilligardt, Chief
Executive Officer of the company.
Klaus M. Hilligardt further expressed his satisfaction with the results of
the fair: 'With this success we not only enhanced the top position of the
PPI & FDC China 2007 for the food industry in South China, but also
continued the growth trend of company. For the upcoming event in 2008 we’re
expecting further growth over 500 exhibitors and approximately 12,000
visitors.' Moreover, the CEO added that a two-day conference on food and
drink technology is planned to complement the fair concept, where speakers
from international key players in the industry, leading research centers
and trade associations will interact.
