COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES	COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES Legal Matters The Company received notices during 2012 that its Acetadote patent was being challenged on the basis of invalidity or non- infringement by others.  The Company intends to vigorously defend and protect its Acetadote product and related intellectual property rights and has filed lawsuits to contest the infringement of the Acetadote patent.  At this point, it is too early to evaluate the outcomes of the lawsuits.  If the Company is unable to successfully defend the Acetadote patents and related intellectual property rights associated with its Acetadote product, its financial condition and results of operations could be adversely affected in the event of a loss of patent and lower sales volumes due to competition.
