– realTech Sets Course for the Future
– New member of the board for marketing and sales to provide for global
orientation and new business areas
Walldorf, July 11th, 2000 — realTech AG, Walldorf- leading provider of
technological consulting, software solutions and hosting of complex internet
and e-Commerce environments – expands its board of directors, previously
comprised of the four founders, to include an additional member.
Roland Weishaupt (40) has more than fifteen years of experience in marketing
and sales at internationally recognized IT companies. As of July 1st, 2000
he will be responsible for the expansion of realTech AG sales and marketing
activities worldwide.
Daniele Di Croce, CFO and one of the founders of realTech AG explained:
“By selecting Roland Weishaupt we have taken an important step in the
strategic development of our company. We are pleased to have obtained such
a competent, distinguished manager for the implementation of our global
strategy.”
Prior to his transfer to realTech, Roland Weishaupt was the manager of sales
and partner management at abaXX Technology GmbH, in Stuttgart, a young
startup company involved in e-business solutions. Prior to that, he held
various leading positions in the areas of national and international sales
and marketing, most recently as director of international sales at
Brokat Infosysteme AG in Stuttgart. There, he distinguished himself by
restructuring the worldwide sales regions and developing international
business relations with an emphasis on Asia, Africa and Europe. As a member
of the management at Origin Deutschland GmbH, Hamburg, he was, among other
things, a major factor in the merger of Philips C&P and Origin in the area
of sales and account management.
Mr. Weishaupt says that the focus of his duties at realTech is to direct
the continual expansion of the company’s main business especially in the
area of realTech hosting by creating additional cooperative partnerships.
The sales department is to be expanded and additional strategic partnerships
are to be established for the marketing of the realTech software products
used to manage complex IT landscapes. He explained the future strategy of
realTech AG, “In addition to our market leadership in technical R/3
consulting, which will continue to be the focus of our activities in the
future, we will consistently move our portfolio in the direction of hosting
and software solutions in order to provide our customers with long-term,
stable partnerships.”
Not only has realTech added Mr. Weishaupt to its board, it has also increased
the number of middle-management positions to enable global growth and to
establish growth-powered business areas via the new management structures.
Dr. Rudolf Caspary, previously responsible for database development at SAP AG,
will manage the entire product development at realTech. He will direct and
combine the software solutions for managing complex IT system landscapes and
develop a structure for developing an integrated product suite for the
mySAP.com environments and marketplaces. Christopher Schmitt will be
responsible for the services available in the areas of e-Commerce and
mySAP.com. Customers that expand their existing structures in the direction
of the Internet will profit from realTech’s know-how and market-leading
position in technical R/3 consulting, In the area of corporate marketing,
realTech has found an experienced specialist in Uwe Krueger, who will
coordinate and harmonize the worldwide marketing activities. Via a completely
new, use-oriented communication, a standardized language, and
the consistent implementation of CI and CD, realTech will become better known
in the market and the value of the name realTech will increase.
Mr. Di Croce continued, “With our human acquisitions, we have set a course
for success. Roland Weishaupt has the best prerequisites for taking
advantage of our competitive advantages and leading our company into the next
growth phase. Our major investment in managers, the strategic positioning of
the company on the three pillars consulting, solutions, and hosting, and well

Markus Adam, chairman of the board who has been sick since February, is not
expected to resume his active duties before the beginning of next year.
The duties of the chairman will be handled by Daniele Di Croce until further
notice.
