The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– REALTECH: Preliminary 9-month figures for 2002 · Revenues growth 5% · Software up 49% · Boost in cash flow and net cash and cash equivalents Walldorf, October 24th, 2002. REALTECH AG has increased its revenues in the first 9 months of 2002 by 5% to EUR 43.1m (compared with EUR 41.0m in the first 9 months of 2001). Software revenues rose by 49% to EUR 6.1m (EUR 4.1m), while revenues in the area of technology consulting – at EUR 37.0m – are fairly similar to the previous year`s level of EUR 36.9m. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) reached EUR 3.3m (EUR 3.7m), while the operating income (EBIT) reached EUR 0.9m (EUR 1.1m). With earnings before taxes of EUR 1.3m (EUR 1.7m) and a net income of minus EUR 0.1m (EUR 0.3m), the earnings per share amount to minus EUR 0.02 (EUR 0.06). Cash flow from operating activities amounted to EUR 4.2m, compared to EUR 0.7m in the same period of the previous year. Net cash and cash equivalents are now EUR 16.8m, which constitutes a 7% improvement upon last year`s figure. 3rd quarter of 2002: Revenues dropped slightly to EUR 13.9m (from EUR 14.5m in the third quarter of 2001). This includes a 25% rise in software revenues to EUR 2.1m (EUR 1.7m) and 7% fall in the area of technology consulting to EUR 11.8m (EUR 12.7m). EBITDA amounts to EUR 1.7m (EUR 2.0m), while EBIT totals to EUR 0.8m (EUR 1.1m). With earnings before taxes of EUR 1.0m (EUR 1.3m) and a net income of minus EUR 0.2m (EUR 0.6m), the earnings per share amount to EUR 0.04 (EUR 0.12).
