Property and equipment consist of the following:

Construction in progress at December 31, 2022 and 2021 consists of the costs incurred for research equipment and for the build-out of additional lab and office space.

Depreciation and amortization expense was $4.1 million and $4.3 million for the years ended December 31, 2022 and 2021, respectively.
