(17) Commitments and Contingencies

The Company leases office space, radio towers and office equipment and has various commitments for rating services and on-air programming including sports broadcast rights for the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and New England Patriots. Lease expense was $11.0 million and $10.8 million for the years ended December 31, 2017 and 2018, respectively. As of December 31, 2018, future minimum payments for the next five years and thereafter are summarized as follows:
