Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 21, 2009, Gulf Resources, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has received approval to list its common stock on the NASDAQ Global Select Market and the Company will trade on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol “GFRE.” A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.

On October 22, 2009, Gulf Resources, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it will begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market on October 27, 2009 under the ticker symbol “GFRE.” A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.2 hereto.
