RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES	NOTE 18 – RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES The total research and development expense recognized in the income statements during the three-month period ended March 31, 2012 was $42,798, of which the consumption of bromine produced by the Company amounted to $10,740. The total research and development expense recognized in the income statements during the three-month period ended March 31, 2011 was $180,337, of which the consumption of bromine produced by the Company amounted to $30,068.
